Hope you are doing well.
I have a condition and want to know your opinions. I have given a particular date 30th May of joining in offer letter Legato Health Technologies , but now they are saying that the joining will be delayed by a day Or two.
I am getting confused about this and also getting a little bit afraid as well as I have already says no to other offers and now this happens...
Request you all to please help me on this.
Thanking you all in advance.

I’m scheduled to fly to SFO in two weeks for vacation, as well...I’m not planning to cancel. I’ve done a lot of reading and there are mixed sentiments, but most of the doctor/infectious disease expert type sources are saying domestic travel is not particularly risky.
I’m mostly nervous that I will get it, not have symptoms immediately, go to work, and cause a huge issue at the office where the whole office is shut down or something and I’m patient zero. That would suck and be embarrassing.
I’m still planning to go ultimately.
Makes sense OP. I understand both sides, ultimately do what you’re comfortable with.
I’d recommend better safe than sorry, you can travel next month. The situations can escalate pretty quickly, look at New Rochelle, NYC suburb as an example - the National Guard was deployed today.

All my friends in medical and public health fields (I’ve talked to 6-7 in the 3 weeks) have said that airplanes are high risk, so I would also rather be safe than sorry.
I have seen too many people on FB say how “if you don’t have a fever, you should in the office.” You never know when you’re going to run into idiots like that who are traveling. Add on top of that coronavirus symptoms can take up to 2 weeks to manifest...

Last thing I read said there was more cases in NYC than SF so maybe not? Plus BBC has great article on how flying actually isn’t huge risk

Nah go for it, just exercise the recommended precautions. Outdoor venues and activities > Indoor stuff
