Absolutely. There's no point of looking without a pre-approval.
I did a pre qualification and the home prices I’m looking at are significantly below my prequal and align with my budget but was just worried about the credit hit.
Yes, get the pre-approval letter. Otherwise you may not be able to put the offer in tomorrow at all, it'll just depend on how quickly your lending agent can put it together for you.
Okay appreciate the help!!

That’s not something to worry about
It’s a soft pull and you’ll do it eventually anyway. You got this!
FYI you can also shop around lenders after the initial pull without incremental impact to your credit score.
Above all, credit hit from a single pre approval is de minimis
The pre qual is good for 3 months.

Pre qual is worthless. You need a pre approval before you can make an offer. You should still be able to get a pre approval in a day.
Last I heard, good credit now costs you more, open up a few new credit cards to lower your credit before going thru the process so you don’t have to pay your mortgage on top of someone else’s. SMH
I was trying to dispute the statement nicely 😂
Y’all savage
Also, when you start shopping rates around once there’s a credit inquiry you have a certain amount of time for multiple inquiries without hitting your credit. So shoo away and good luck
I’m pretty sure you can get a preapproval without a credit check. Just go to a smaller mortgage company
If you’re prequalified it shouldn’t be an issue. Let your lender know you are serious about the house and to be on deck for a lender letter. They should have everything they need to get that to you in as little as 30 minutes. My lender gets me one usually in an hour from a single text message. Your realtor and lender work for you in this situation.
