Most employees with careers that have advancement potential and better off working from the office. Conversely, there are many positions that can be done remotely (though many of those are good candidates for offshoring). It just depends on your goals and your career path.

I disliked hybrid due to being responsible for two workstations instead of one. To each their own, I just can’t do that as a long term solution.

I mean, there’s not really a benefit for RTO for Spotify’s business model. Whereas at least for CSPs, there’s a strong rationale to back to office/client site
(And unfortunately, some of us really do need to be babysat)
This is such a weird flex, especially since it’s probably just about saving money, not some noble cause.
Who exactly is this message even for? Is it supposed to help their brand? Does it magically erase the criticism that they exploit artists? And seriously, what’s with the holier-than-thou tone? Like, who crowned Spotify the moral authority here? They’re in no position to lecture anyone, let alone sway opinions on this. Honestly, it’s self-indulgent virtue signaling that’s pretending to be some grand gesture or culture changing POV.
