Do any of you ever think about paying off your student loan in one go ?
Given that student loans in the UK is structured differently than the US (the higher you earn, the more you pay - gets written off after 30 years); at what salary range would you even consider paying it all off?

Are people still live on here? I was diagnosed last year with ADD and I’ve tried two stimulants so far. I know they aren’t meant to be a magic pill but I’m still struggling with general tasks and feel like I’m doing the bare minimum. The Nurse has suggested I try non stimulants. Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. First year lit associate here. I had a tough time deciding between corporate and lit and chose lit because I wanted to litigate. Its only been a few months but I’m not enjoying the people or the work as it turns out (too many internal investigations and researching obscure issues, haven’t been on a single filed case yet). Third year corp associate here. Drafting a contract from a form of agreement and some comments that were provided by the client. It’s taking me !!! FOREVER !!!! Like HOURS for what should be a simple contract. I am spending a lot of time trying to find ways to incorporate the clients vague comments appropriately while also staying consistent with with the form … am I nuts or is this normal?

A partner I work for keeps asking for ETA's on assignments I have already submitted to the senior associate on the deal for review. Does it sound like I'm throwing the senior associate under the bus if I say I have already submitted to senior associate and am waiting for feedback? I feel like the partner will get upset at me even more if my answer sounds like I haven't submitted the assignment to the senior associate yet.

I’m a 9th year in a mostly litigation-based practice group at a one-tier partnership firm. My group’s billable hours have been low the last few years, so making partner will be nearly impossible, and a counsel position is not viable long-term in my group. What’s the best option here if partnership is the ultimate goal? Try to get a NEP/counsel position at another firm, which is likely difficult in my market, or offer to take a class cut by a few years?
