Hey peeps, wanted to know is there anyone who tried for 2nd time to get a job in Google (for any role). Would like to know in 2nd attempt do they raise the interview bar or ask more hard questions ? Any inputs are appreciated. TIA

I wanted to get people's opinions on leetcode, codewars etc when prepping for interviews. I am a junior full stack dev looking to move to a better paying junior role or a mid role and honestly these style of questions have always stumped me. I have found that in a year of work to have never found them useful in tackling real world issues. Now I'm moving from a junior to a mid can I still expect leetcode style questions?

I work mainly with react, TS, node, graphql, mongoose and mongoDB.

Beginning to consider going in house (4th, corp) - I really haven’t thought about what I want, partly because I’m not sure what’s out there/attainable. Is it a bad idea to start by applying to a couple positions that interest me and seeing where that gets me? I’ll of course prep for the interviews but am afraid to burn potential bridges if I ultimately decline because I’m still figuring things out.

Round 1: HR round. cleared.

Round 2: Hiring manager round. Went well.

After 2 weeks they said Role no longer available. It was L5 supply chain role. This happened in April. Can I apply again in Amazon? Hi, I got an offer letter from oracle as software engineer. Offered package was 17.91LPA including pf (17 fixed )

My YOE: 3.6.

CCTC: 10.5

Tech Stack: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices.

I already have an offer of 19LPA(16 fixed + pf + 2.4 variable + 2 JB).

Can i show this to oracle to revise my compensation?? will they consider it??

My last interview was on Monday and I got feedback that I did not get selected because it did not seem like I was a a team player. Do you read multiple books at once? Power through one at a time? Do you set a page or chapter daily/weekly goal? Only do audiobooks? Please share your reading habits so we 🐟 can borrow/steal like artists 🎨.

For me, I set 20-30 pg min/night and listen to a different audiobook to/from work. The audiobook thing is new as I've never read >1 at once. Considering 1 chapter/night w/ 3 different books (3 ch/night)... I just want to read them all though not sure - may muddle if one > others.

Reached theoretical financial freedom (4% of networth covers 120% of my yearly spending)
What should I do?
-Motivation to grind at BCG is not here anymore and honestly the experience here was underwhelming (~1y as a C, lateralled from other firm)
-Still too risky to open own lifestyle business
-Option to exit to industry for a few years at a 9-6 job?
-Option to do some side hustles?

The initial total comp brought up was only $110K (base, bonus, stock), which is barely more than I am making now, though they said there was room to negotiate on the stock portion.

I’m 37 and I didn’t get nominated for PCEC (mckinsey partner election). Should I give it another year knowing that it generally takes 2 election cycles and I won’t be a partner until I’m 39? Do I explore exits in a recessionary economy? Or praise Christ, go to church more, and suck up my ego because I still have a shot and haven’t been CTLd?
