What salary should one expect for IT audit Senior1 (4 years of Exp) in Big 4(both global and India practice)??
Strongly considering making a move from a comfortable career path in Big 4 accounting to starting my own firm. As a minority CPA, a driving force for me is a desire to start a black-owned accounting firm. Would be interested to hear some perspective on what led others on the journey of entrepreneurship and what drove them from corporate to ownership.
Hi Fishes, Could you help me to know what are the options we have after working as Big 4 Auditor (asset management sector) if we want to switch and no longer interested in Audit?
What does everyone think about RSMs healthcare consulting practice? Worth making a change?
Hi! I have been in sales for 4 years now and I am currently leveraging my company’s benefits to finish my degree next year. I want to transition into software dev, but my concern is that no one will hire me because I lack the experience. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Is anyone else at B4 getting slaughtered? Wait listed everywhere so far despite 760 and above average stem GPA at all schools i applied to. Leadership is probably a weak point for me ill admit but certainly not non existant and I know my ECs are above average. I feel completely blindsided
Former EY employee here. Joined EY in 2014 and left in 2018 as a senior 3. I believe I was vested in the pension. Just wondering if there’s a way to find out and does EY still offer pension buyout?
What’s the deal with Capco? What are the similarities and differences between Capco and Big 4 in terms of pay, types of work, and culture?
How do you access your 401k account after leaving the firm? I have always gone through benefit express but can’t figure how to access it externally
If anyone is interested senior associate and manager roles within Asset & Wealth Management Tax or Real Estate Tax at PwC, dm me! Our team is rapidly growing, offering competitive salaries, WFH for the long term, great performance year bonuses, real time recognition $ and amazing benefits (generous maternity leave, Flex schedule, 401k retirement matching, health insurance, student loan pay down, numerous well-being programs and support, etc)
I want to FIRE. IRA and 401k are beyond my definition of the ‘RE’ idea since they can only be withdrawn without penalty at 55. Is the only other way to save for retiring at 40-55 an individual brokerage account and just accept the tax upon withdrawal?
Non Big 4 People: Are you expected to devote X number of hours per week in addition to client work for internal "firm initiatives"?
boutique vs. big 4 vs. MBB? Pros and cons.
Maternity Leave? I’m trying to plan some time out to have my first child and work predominately with older men so this is unchartered territory. Any tips?
I feel like the smartest thing to do is to get a Marriott car and an airline card. Thoughts? I don’t necessarily need priority pass or skyclub.
When you wake up on a Monday morning and dance in your bed because you're on PTO for the next two weeks💃🏽💃🏽
I currently work at a big start up and made a lateral move to another team a few months ago with five years experience. Since then , I’ve created a whole new service line and took over many of my managers duties. As I took a paycut to join this team - I’m pushing for a raise and title change. Is this reasonable?
After three weeks of being on the beach doing nothing + three weeks of vacation, finally got pulled into some BD work. Pretty sure I forgot how to work.
Saw a post in LinkedIn that Accenture opening it's offices in new places like Ahmedabad, Indore, Jaipur is that true?
So I am thinking of hiring some cold callers to call and generate leads for me. Anyone do this too, and care to share you experience?
How do you guys schedule your hours? Say I need to hit 200 hours per month. Currently I take the amount of working days in a month (M-F) and divide it by 200 to get how many hours I need to bill per day. For example, May has 20 working days, so I need to bill 10hrs./day M-F. I’ve done exactly that thus far and have been able to stick to a pretty consistent schedule. But I know a lot work on weekends. For instance, if I worked Saturdays too there are 25 billable days which means 8hrs/day.
Hey everyone - I am 28 with 5YOE (2 in consulting 3 in industry) and am working towards a part time MBA at a T15 program. My current comp is 130k which I am quite happy with (having started at 52). I see posts here stating folks comp in consulting to be around 300-500k. How does one get to those numbers? Are you all in MBB or T2 firms and how did you get to that position? I was hoping to get to those numbers by 35 or 40, and was thinking of a plan to get there.
Profits went up by 45% or something like that, sales went up since FY15, but we only funded 92% of our bonus instead of 97% like last year. Can anybody provide insight into how bonuses will now work?
Are the MBB NYC offices the worst in terms of WLB and culture? I’d imagine there’s much more competition and cutthroat nature there
Accepted two jobs and they both have training around the exact same time, on zoom. Even if I push back one job another week, the training times still conflict. I accepted two jobs based upon the income that I need and nothing else being out there. Any suggestions?
What’s the average salary for an rpa consultant? I just started my career with RPA with 3 years of experience in a different technology and currently make 90k. Is that normal? If not I can perhaps
Is it worth taking a GCP TAM role as an L4 with 8 YOE. I made Manager at Deloitte last year and have worked in cloud consulting for the last 5 years, I had made it very clear to the recruiter that I’m looking for an L5 and even with interviews going really well they came back with you would be really strong at L4 so we recommend going into HC with that. Feeling very demotivated and frustrated tbh because after all the effort I’ll have to start where juniors with 4 YOE are staring at GCP Google
Soon to be working at PWC (consulting side). Wondering if they work from home policy is anywhere in the world? Or does it depend on the client? PwC
I got a bonus from my old Boston based employer in January 2021, by which time I’d moved to NYC for business school. I’m moving back to Boston after school so did not declare permanent residency here in NYC (vote and driver licensed in MA). So my domicile is in MA even though my current residence is in NY. Do I have to pay NY taxes on this bonus?
Has anyone ever been to the delta hotel by Marriott nayarit? My SO wants to go to an all inclusive so there's less vacation stress with planning meals and such. Looking to find a place that's close to beach and also nature. If anyone's been or has great reviews for other marriot all-inclusive hotels I'd love to hear your reviews. TIA!
