The offer is with a major bank for a 40% salary increase + 20% target bonus. Dreaming of that 9-5 life
Don’t let your greed spoil what you have. You may regret it.
I would make sure that your offer is in range for the position in the new industry.
I took an offer that was +50% base and +60% TC but realized later I could have gotten +80% base and +100% TC.
Hiring managers respect people who negotiate with integrity, but resent manipulation. You don’t want to trade a few $k for a cloud of ill-feeling coming in
Thanks for all of the advice 🐠!
You already said it's a great offer. Just take it.
Congrats! Care to share details on offer?
Details please OP
Asking for clarification...Do you think one of the other two places will offer more than that?
That’s crazy increases. What type of role at the bank?
Yea crazy unless your salary was just extremely low to begin with
Without any data or real offers, your current offer is going to give you a big old goose egg in terms of an increase if your argument is simply that you MAY get another offer that could be more. You need a justification and if they already met or exceeded what you told them your salary expectations are, it needs to be a really solid explanation.
