Got a reply to my thank you note post interview. Is this a good sign or just politeness?

The role is definitely a step up in terms of responsibilities from my current role as a senior consultant. For those working in house, how much “from scratch” document drafting are you doing vs. reviewing and revising “outside documents”. For example, if your company wants to enter into a joint venture company with another entity, are you drafting the company agreement “from scratch” or is it based on internal forms? Or are you getting outside counsel to do it?

I got an offer from Deloitte and they have started my H1B transfer. In the meantime I got an interview call from Google (Which I would prefer over Deloitte). Can I continue interviewing while H1B transfer is in progress? If I get the second offer (Which is a big IF) can I so no to Deloitte at that point after the H1B is approved?

Currently a big 4 consultant and got an offer from FAANG for a strategy and ops role that would bring my total comp up 60%. I’m really grateful for the offer and really excited, however, I am also interviewing with MBB. It has always been a goal of mine to work for tier 1 strategy firm as I’ve always felt on the outside looking in at big4. I feel like most exit ops from strategy would be S&O industry roles but still can’t get these MBB firms out of my mind. Am I just overthinking this?
