Bain & Company Hi everyone,
I have an interview scheduled for Senior Associate, Data Science position with Bain & Company Advance Analytics Group. Can somebody give me an idea about the overall process? As in is it about technical rounds/coding assesments or mainly case oriented only?
Thanks

When will be the retention bonus will be paid if a candidate joined TCS in the middle of the financial year. I.e September'22... Will that be paid on next year's September'23 Month only after completing an year in TCS?
And will the Retention bonus will also be considered as taxable income of the the current year taxes(2022-23)?
Looking for valuable suggestions!!!

Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

Devops is a wide umbrella, and can mean many different things.
Typically traditional devops responsibilities are building pipelines that help devs ease their workflows, but can also involve responsibilities that of an admin. In modern times devops engineer also shares some responsibilities with platform engineers such as IAC, and modern tools like kubernetes and what not.
This can be overwhelming depending on how much of these tools you are familiar with, but dont worry, just looks at the JD. Questions would be specific to that as well.
When I was in job market last year for devops roles, what i I found out is, not many companies care about DSAs, i would say hardly 10%. I was quized mostly on configuration aspects and take home assignment in some cases.
If job is fouces mkre on pure devops work, you will be asked about your experience with different pipelines such as azure devops, or similar offerings from major cloud providers. There are open source ones as well such as jenkins, argoCD ETC. these are just examples but can highly vary based on where you are applying and what is the requirement.
Almost all the jobs I applied to required kubernetes as that is my forte. I would say if you have some experience with containerization give kuberntes a shot, learn basic docker etc containerization techniques, they pair nicely with DevOps.
I think if you are a biginner in devops start with these
1.basic understanding of pipelines
2. Docker
3. kuberntes
4. Familiarity with one of the public cloud.
Of course these require fair understanding of linux and good handle on python or go.
I hooe this helps
Thanks for your inputs. Yes I am currently working on a project with Kubernetes exposure and having Linux and scripting experience. Now I'm upskilling myself in DevOps tools and preparing myself for interviews.
How is the market currently, I'm hearing it is down and many people are not getting many calls.
I’m in the same boat looking to switch, working as a Cloud Engineer rn. 3 YOE as such. We can collaborate if you want, can do mock interviews with each other if you’d like?
Devops and SRE profile interviews are different from development interview.
Mostly it is docker kubernetes, cloud questions, ci cd, linux, networking ( is imp.) monitoring the infra. Terraform
