Very well done! But on another note, I can’t believe there are SIX rounds for this job! That’s crazy!
Thank you ! This is a major tech company and, unfortunately, is pretty common for technical roles for large corporations. If this wasn’t my dream company idk if I would be so willing.
I would never do 6 rounds, that screams that they can't make a decision. I'm interviewing for a VP BDM role and it's only 3 rounds.
Unfortunately this is pretty common in the tech industry for mostly large businesses, but I’ve even seen that for small companies too. It’s terrible and very anxiety inducing. I hate how it’s become so standard.
Congratulations!
Thank you so much! Hope you have a great weekend!
Congratulations but after 2, I would have said no thanks. I have felt as if companies are trying to keep me interested while they “try out” candidates. String me along? Not happening. Don’t put your eggs in one basket. Keep looking.
I’m finding it very hard to find any jobs where it’s only 2-3 interviews. Most interview processes I experience at least have one round that’s a technical assessment or case study.
I’m in human resources and constantly share that anything more than three is an insult… and three only for a very upper upper level positions
Again, I totally totally get what you mean… And I’ve been there before… But the perfect world shame on them… Frankly, I actually continue with jobs that have 5000 interviews even when I have one just to be one of those people who tell him no. I just think it’s such old-school mentality… There is no data to reveal that more interviews equals a better fit for the company… If anything so many interviews is an indicator to mean there may be red tape or egos or some other thing at that company. So what I will continue to do is try to be a positive change agent for the companies I work for and give feedback like I do… Everyone’s time is precious, including the unemployed.
Since I’m still new to job hunting, I just gotta ask, do all places make you interview 6 times? Or just the role you’re going for?
I think it depends on the field you’re in and the companies you’re applying to. This happens to be at a dream company for me so I was willing to put up with the intensive interview process. I think this is more common for technical roles at larger companies.
Don’t listen to people who have to throw in something negative to say! proud your working toward ur dream! 👍🏻
