Has 2024 been very busy so far for anyone? I’ve just been swamped with continuous work and it doesn’t seem to end!!!

We were very slow up until, about a week and half ago now. Then it all came like a ton of bricks! Thankful for things picking up, but I could already use a break!

I feel like that’s how the new year always starts off. First slow then it ramps up pretty quickly.

I've been exceptionally busy. I'm always busy this time of year, but this year it's different. I thought it was the only one 😂

Well being busy is a good thing!

For me, it's been pretty standard. I don't feel like I'm swamped in work but it's been steady. I am excited to not have to do overtime this weekend though.

That’s good!

It was really busy at the beginning of the month but it’s slowing down gradually now.

That’s how it is for me currently as well!

It has been busy for us dealing with problems that were caused by the holiday season. We've been putting out fires for almost a month now.

I have a love / hate relationship with the holidays. Good for PTO but bad when I have to come back and do the work!

Hello everyone ,
I’m currently working in insurance customer service at an agency. I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. What are some good companies I maybe should apply for after getting my license?

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Currently working at an IRA with great WLB. Honestly I love my job, the firm, and people I work with.

Also doing MBA part time at a T15 school. Thinking about switching to IB but I’ve done my research and I think I would burn out of IB in two years but I might be ok with that for the opportunities after.

My browser history is failing me and hope y’all can help! I recently stumbled upon a website where some ad folks had compiled a bunch of idea/conceptual thinking approaches and if you clicked through there were past spots that had utilized that idea / way of thinking. I wanted to share it with a mentee and can’t track it down. It was a simple layout: grid of images w/headline naming the idea … Sound familiar?

At my uncles wedding in Madrid I remember lying down on the grass in the courtyard after their first dance and crying, my Dad came and saw me, laid down in his suit beside me and asked what was wrong.

“I know my boyfriend wouldn’t dance with me like that at our wedding”

And we just lay there as I cried, and then got up. Had a drink.

Said boyfriend left years ago, and now I have a wonderful man who just asked me what type of dance lessons I want for our wedding next year.

Don’t give up.

Does anyone have a good way of managing customer profiles? Working in logistics I speak with a lot of different customers, carriers, warehouses, brokers, etc and I am looking for a way to organize the notes I have for each one that I can filter through. My company most likely won’t purchase new software but we do have basic Microsoft programs. TIA !

Looking to get advice on two different job offers. I am only concerned about long term career prospects in choosing one or the other. Offer 1: warehouse manager for a beverage company. Someone jumped in front of my truck a few weeks back (trying to kill themselves, luckily it didn't work) and now I'm feeling so much anxiety. I don't want to leave a job I loved though. How can I cope with this?
