Practicing lawyer for 12 years in education law. Worked in Hollywood and have a degree in film/television. Also, have directed/produced independent films. So, I do have some Entertainment business experience already. Looking to do some Entertainment Law, specifically motion picture work. Can anyone recommend some good CLE courses or conferences I should check out? Any other advice that may be helpful?

Go and do. Really the only way to get that experience. Find an experienced entertaiment lawyer to supervise you. Yes, you will need to find the client.

Texas Bar Association puts on an EXCELLENT Film/TV CLE in Austin during the Austin Film Festival in October each year. I believe it's offered online, too. Very excellent and highly recommend!

Annual entertainment law conferences at UCLA, USC or Southwestern are good. I chose to go to one or two based on topics. Lots of valuable CLE and networking (it was breakout zoom sessions during zoom and was obviously not at the caliber of in-person networking).

Hello, in my previous organisation I worked in development domain (Oracle IAM Tool and Java)and my post was software Engineer, i joined Wipro as project Engineer in April 2022 and was assigned non technical project as an analyst.

I fought my way hard to get released from the project. However my designation is changed as Analyst. Should I ask for change in designation as I know that analyst is non-technical profile? Would my designation impact my future role as well?

Hello fellow SAP Consultants!
I am SAP HCM consultant having 4.10 years of experience. I feel that this module doesn’t have any growth. My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. Should I be worried about my skillset? Any insights would highly be appreciated. I feel stuck.

YOE: 9

IBM - X LPA and TCS - X+6 for development
bank of america gave X+3 for Sr Analyst - Apps Prog job designation
In offer letter, job designation of software developer is not provided.
I am confused with two different designations in BofA and thinking that Sr Analyst is a support role even if they mention that I am selected for development when I contacted them.
What is difference between those two designations and is Sr Analyst-Apps Prog is for support role?

Hey Bowl,
I work for a late stage(ipo) start up, earlier this year we were acquired & since then they got rid of our yearly bonuses and gave us an ESOP grant.
2 RIFs later we are almost bare bones. Since we are coming up on our usual yearly evaluations many of us assumed (with multiple conversation from our managers) that pay raises and promotions were due.
In a recent All hands we found out that this year there will be no pay raises nor promotions based off merit. Is it time to jump ship?
