Are there still grounds for indemnification? If so state the grounds, and the basis for the indemnification. It’s the same thing. What are you asking?

Can you find another contract with other related entities? I’ve done this for 3rd tier subcontractors in construction cases. Not always successful but sometimes the prime contract refers to “all subcontractors” or something like that.

It’s a case were plumber came in to fix pipes and their broke. But no repair records and contract. Only a receipt

Honestly, just issue it. If they accept, great. If not, then make your argument to the court.

Sounds like it should be short and sweet. Send it then have your 3rd party complaint ready to file

Rental property managers in ALX

Hi! I am preparing to rent out my condo in Alexandria (off edsall road) in the spring. Anyone have any tips for first time landlords? I’m planning to work with a rental mgmt company that has 3 properties in my complex. They’ll charge 1 month rent for the marketing and 7.9% mgmt fee. I am moving to a lower COLA and don’t mind paying for the mgmt, but I haven’t found a good cash flow calculator to forecast taxes, etc. Any guidance would be appreciated! Thanks.

I currently work at a small PI firm in Atlanta were EVERYTHING is settled presuit. If we’re unable to settle, then it’s referred to another firm for litigation. This whole process seems very atypical to me and the attorneys rarely touch a file until the first liability offer is received. The paralegals handle everything from intake to drafting the demands. The attorney briefly skims (does NOT read) the demand packages and signs. Is this ethical?? Anyone else work at a firm that is run this way??

What's your preference for plaintiff's side? Steady pay at approximately $120k with no bonuses, or a base salary of $70k plus a cut of what you close over a minimum threashold? Midwest-ish market. In both situations, you get a cut of what you bring in.

4th year at a mid size PI firm. Got pulled from litigating MVAs to help this solo we hired start a med Mal/nursing home practice. 1 year in and it looks like I’m two steps backwards in terms of getting paid because we’re a year or more out from a lot of the fees hitting. I respect the solo a lot, he’s a mentor, but I’ve got kids and I gotta get paid. Trying not to burn bridges, but I can’t wait years to get cut in. Advice?

Any experience working @ Chad Jones law?
I’m currently discontent with my income.
(3rd year. Salary=80k and no performance incentive. I brought in $1.4mm AFTER partners claimed over half of fees on my big cases.)
I see CJL offers an incentive+ base but I’m curious about that structure.
Any good or bad firm culture to speak of?
Is it impossible to actually earn a respectable incentive bonus?
Am I going to have some partner come cut me out of any cases where I might actually make a solid fee?
