I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers

Insurance companies are banking heavily on AI in a way that’s gonna bite all of us in the ass, but part of that is that everyone thinks they’re gonna save on people costs overhead so they’re prepping for RIFs, not developing talent.
At our company “you get, what you put in”. No cap and you become owner day one 80% commission rate. 🙂
Who do you work for? please and thank you
Corporate America is still the good ol' boys/girls club! But it isn't just promotions it's also pay raises, and bonuses - a good company will make a very sweet deal to get you in the door and then squeeze you for everything you have just to get a barely above inflation rate - bonus and pay raise.
Exactly my experience. Moving up goes to those willing to kiss the most ass and move around the country on a moment's notice. In the end moving up at a company is like High School popularity all over again - LOL
Yes and try it over 50 with 12+ years experience and a MBA its like knocking down a brick wall with a toothpick.
Haven’t had an issue
Being hired into sales, on a call
center, there is next to no opportunity to advance internally. Thousands of IPs, reporting to less than one hundred managers cannot create opportunity. Positions outside of sales are hired externally for more entry positions. Promotions happen from with departments. Want to move into underwriting? Good luck, people
are hired into it, not promoted into it. Get your CPCU, which I have done, but it means less than nothing, within my company it isn’t worth the paper it is written upon.
I haven't seen any issues at my company either in regards to moving up. In fact, when a person is hired and going through the licensing process, there are weekly meetings they can attend to understand the details on the production requirement needed to move up and the responsibilities and compensation as you move up from one position to the next with the ultimate goal of achieving partner.
You have to be groomed for the position you are looking to upgrade to
Internal mobility is important. How are you networking to get noticed?
Promotions will always be based on how well you brown nose, not performance. Reality, managers would rather hold you back in a position that benefits them, rather than lose you to a position benefiting you.
