I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?
Halloween parties in LA? Bars having events, etc

I prefer not to, I've gone out of the way to go back to the same role right after the maternity leave, because between a new child, new responsibility, brain fog. I can go into autopilot when going back to work instead of learning something new. That can be done once the baby rearing is on autopilot then I switch it up at work. I can only handle one new thing at a time.
OP, sorry that I assumed you were the mom. Moving closer to family will help a lot!! My spouse and I didn't have that option but we have two wonderful friends that step in every once and a while when needed. With what you said, I'd then just check-in with your partner and see how they feel about the change. With enough support from all around (family for child care and overall support while adjusting to your new life and your partner and your employer ) you could make the move now. Last factor is still how stable the new role is both in terms of job security and your ability to give it your best early on. I don't like to sugar coat things and I hate when people talk about the wonders of the newborn stage like it's not hard as heck. I mean it just makes Parent’s feel so lonely and guilty when they have a hard day. Yes babies are awesome and I absolutely love my kids but some days are chaos and hard, and that's NORMAL. Good luck OP! And Congratulations!
Two managers quit last year after coming back from maternity/ paternity leave. They already had the offer during the leave. Came back to give notice 🤷🏻♀️
That would be a similar plan myself.
