Hi All,
Looking to make the move from working in industry to big4 and was curious as to what level and pay I might be worth?
I have 10 years experience out of uni, as well as completed CPA and MBA. I have a experience in managing entire finance function of small/medium entities, but most notably solid corporate finance experience/strategy leading refinance exercises, debt raising, hedging/treasury strategy etc…Would be looking for something in deal advisory / M&A / CFO advisory etc….thanks Deloitte EY PwC @

Hi Google - I am requesting guidance!
I am prepping for my interview specifically GCA and open ended questions. I struggle to tell if the outcome should be talking through your process/steps (maybe for a question like - how would you go about determining program complexity) vs a specific solution such as create x new product, for x market by x date based on my assumptions. Is the desired outcome something I can clarify with the interviewer?

Do you mean MBA>Consulting> Tech 350k+
Or
Consulting>MBA>Tech 350k+
Yes to the former, no to the later.
Follow-up question, did you do it recently....cause it doesn't matter if that was a pathway 5 yrs ago.
How do you learn coding and all related for tech jobs while all you have done is consulting to make that pivot?
Both possible. Know people who've done both. If you're talking TC not just base
To the OP’s question, it is highly dependent.
If at MBB, I don’t see what an MBA will get you beyond what you already have in terms of pedigree. No need to go back to school.
If not at MBB and admitted to T7, then maybe there’s an argument. But dude, I wouldn’t be itching to incur more school debt at the moment. Those ROIs are going to plummet.
Those jobs are dead. Heard of AI?
In the world of AI, squads will be much smaller and primarily (or solely) more senior engineers. Product roles seem to be relatively safe and will have even more power (if that is even possible) in organizations as they are less reliant on human engineers.
What's wrong in just sticking around in Consulting if that TC is your only goal? I'm at 350+ after 11 years.
