Coach
Definitely gonna take a pay cut if ur looking for a job with good wlb, so just gotta decide what’s best for you. Could be worth it to make the money and save until kids are a little older or if money isn’t a problem you should prob just jump ship asap so you have all your time in the evenings back
i left and didn’t regret it
if that counts lol
When I left, I got a pay bump to 150k base
But i came back to the firm after 3 years, to build their fractional cfo service line
I just left for a corp dev job. I work on MCOL and was an M1 making140 and got a bump to 155 + 15% bonus.
It seems like my wlb will be much better. Nobody is on at crazy hours of the night. We have a larger deal and I am new so I am working later just to get up to speed but the made up frantic deadline BS isn’t there. People are helpful bc they have time to train.
I could def make more money in the short term in FDD but the hours sucked nuts and it’s really hard finding opps out of an LMM firm the higher you go.
Also I have young kids and it’s so nice not to have an ever present fire drill on my mind in the evenings.
