Does Natwest bank pay as competitive as Morgan Stanley Deutsche Bank. I mean Associate in MS and DB ranges from 20 to 30 lakh. However when I tried applying to Natwest expecting 40% hike (30 lpa) on current pay of 21 lakh. They straightway rejected me and said its not in their budget. Is there any financial firm which can pay as competitive to Mumbai banks. Barclays Deutsche Bank Natwest group BlackRock

Yeah you can literally put yourself in a grave. I put myself in a hospital - my body couldn't take it when I was in a toxic leadership environment. I've never been more sure of a right decision than when I left that place, and yes I did take a pay cut, and part of that was the ensuing medical bills...watch out for yourself!
Yes, I left a management consulting job that paid 2x more, went back to school and started over as a software engineer. Absolutely no regrets. I was going to put myself in an early grave with management consulting, I hated it so much with every fiber of my being and I was so stressed out that my mental health and physical health were very negatively affected.
I am infinitely happier and healthier since the career change.
Interview anyways. You never know when you'll be offered 350 on a better team.
I traded Fortune 500 stocks for equity in a startup. Not sure if/when startup will go ipo so not counting that as part of my compensation. Base is the same. So essentially I went from $300k TC to $220k. Couldn’t have been happier. So much better for my mental health. I work with good people, reasonable hours. I wouldn’t go back to the big company.
I'll trade. I'll mop floors for 300k stable job.
Lol I would stay if all I had to do was mop floors
Honestly, you could get more than that or equivalent somewhere. If it happens once it can happen again. And the real question is not what you're open to losing, but what the price of happiness is.
Which is your company? How toxic is the leadership and culture? In what way?
I changed my career to design 2 years ago and hate my current company.
But I am not sure if I am just being ungrateful. I feel very confused.
And they only pay me 112k in Bay Area.
Well, I do need GC sponsorship, so not sure whether that was the culprit of my low wage (as a designer in Bay Area that is).
