Not personally but nothing wrong with that to get your first in-house gig - those opportunities are not easy to come by
Yes, at exactly the 6 month mark. It’s my only short stint. Latest job interview brought it up as a potential red flag. But generally not an issue.
Short answer your looking for-THERE IS NO LOYALTY HERE
I just don’t want it to be a red flag later down the line.
Won’t be a red flag. Make the jump if the role is good, they’re hard to come by.
No, but if you want to go in house, I wouldn’t worry about burning a bridge by leaving soon after starting at your firm. I think it’s somewhat rare to go back into firm practice after transitioning to in house, so the value of that relationship (in terms of likelihood of hiring) might not matter as much after you make the move.
And they’ll get over it when they try to get your business as client
I did this. On my second in house role now. It did not hinder me at all.
Not a red flag if you were at your prior firm for a good while, and you plan to stay in the in-house gig for a good while (both, at least 2-3 years). Then, you just have to explain that your dream job came up and you took it.
