Is it normal to negotiate for a bigger severance package if it happens within the first year? Because Meta may have something for me but TBH I'm nervous about their hiring freeze news.

Hi everyone, unfortunately I was recently affected by a layoff at my company. About 30% of their marketing department along with other departments were all let go. I have 3+ professional experience with product marketing, digital marketing, and event management. I seem to go through this cycle where I'll try to fix a problem, fix it and then go back to my old ways. I'm trying to fight against it but basically my performance review is coming up and I think it's likely I'm going to be let go because of my failure to meet expectations. Earlier in the year I was going through a rough time and working through it, I have gotten better over the course of the year but I feel it's not enough. I got fired from my last job. Do you take the current economy into consideration when receiving job offers? For example you receive a good offer from a company like Meta/TikTok but are hesitant because they could be laying off soon or rescind an offer versus a lower offer at a more traditional and stable company that tends to be less reactionary with regards to layoffs? Not my current scenario but just curious. I would like to make a move from current employer but this economy has me spooked.
