I did it on 4a/4b and regretted it. Great at first but as it began to wear off my hair was very stringy.
What are your hair goals?
I did. My hair is un relaxed, and in the humidity incredibly “fluffy”
It was OK nothing to write home about
After a lot of research I chose to do an Amino acid treatment on my hair followed by a silk press. I felt it made my silk press last much longer and after 4 months my curls have reverted but my hair is much softer and more manageable after a wash
I have unrelaxed hair & while I mainly stick to protective styles, silk presses do not last long especially when I work out.
I’m looking for a change up & manageability lending into the fall.
I did. It was definitely more manageable after a wash, and reduced drying and straightening time. But it was still a lot of work given I work out daily :-/
I agree with what everyone above said. I have done it once and while it was really nice I just didn't find it to be so worth it that it was worth paying that hefty price tag for it haha. It did really help to relax my hair though and help to tame a lot of the frizz.
