Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. Is it a good idea to still switch with the counter offer from Cg Capgemini Tata Consu

Shoot your shot
About 8 years ago at Accenture a senior manager friend complained that mba hires at consultant level making just as much as him. He had to make his case all the way to the top leadership of his group, and coupled with the fact that he was a top performer, he got a large adjustment. It took some time but it’s possible to do so.
Thank you! It is reassuring to hear that it is at least a possibility!
Have your career counselor submit a salary inquiry to HR on your behalf. They’ll conduct a market analysis and let you know exactly where you fall. You can then use that as evidence in your talk with your MD who would have to submit the justification to HR for the increase.
This is very helpful, thank you! My career counselor is also my Director who I’ll be meeting with so I’ll be sure to bring this up!
Make sure you make your case as I’m a strong performer, worth X in the market. Not just, others here get more than me and I want equal.
Agreed. I’ve put together a deck with all of my contributions (which are plentiful) so 🤞 it gets some traction.
Don’t do now. Wait for sometime
Same happened with me. Be ready with option to exit if this goes south.I hope you are not on visa
Rest is your decision. Best of luck
i’m in the same boat. ~7 years. i submitted an HR request and they told me my salary is “in line with market” even though i’m on the cusp of the lower end of the band. HR doesn’t give a shit about you. i spoke to someone in my practice and he said you have to know the right people to have that request go up the chain to leadership in your practice. KPMG1 got it spot on
Thanks for the perspective. I do know everyone up the chain and I work closely with them daily so I’m hoping those relationships will help me. I’m sorry you didn’t have a good experience.
I asked for a salary review every 3 years. Got an adjust once in my 12 year here but it doesn’t hurt.
