This was me. I moved to a faang that gave generous reproductive benefits and immediately did two rounds. I didn't miss any work other than the day of the surgery and for the first round the day after the surgery. I told my female manager and she was very supportive. The bloodwork and ultrasounds are early morning (7am) so I would just go to the office straight from the appt. First round I was pretty groggy in the office during the second week but it was totally fine.
The monitoring appointments are usually early in the morning. Shouldn’t be an issue other than the surgeries.
You don't plan to enroll in your new company's plan then? Just plan carefully. You lose cobra benefits if you enroll in another plan. Similarly, im not sure you can get coverage outside an open enrollment period if you elect cobra and just stop paying.
