They have a few reqs open all over. A friend of mine is in Strategy there. I know they're hiring
Yeah, they don't take junior people. But if u have at least 2-3 years they'll likely interview u. Prob not for anything above Consultant level.
401k is crap but pay is about 20% higher than other big 4 for comparable years experience. The "consultant" level mentioned above is supposed to be comparable to Manager/SM (or Director) level, but you can stay at that level well into SME status (and SME salary) if you don't want to sell. It's true that in most markets we don't hire junior consultants, def need at least 3 years, but more like 5+. Chicago and Seattle have an "analyst" program which hires straight out of college, and I think Boston might be adding one soon as well. Culture is fabulous, S&O projects are sparse but exist, and they're actually cool projects.
Deloittes is like 1.5 or something
Hi Slalom! Do you think that offices that are currently being built up would be open to hiring an analyst/junior consultant? I am not in Boston or Seattle but a pretty major city that seems like it's being targeted for growth, per all the job postings.
Also interested, saw a strategy consultant role open but it said 7+ years of experience...
I remember slalom dude saying they were experimenting with junior consultants
Always worth applying!
Spoke to a recruiter recently, she said they need minimum of 3 yrs experience for their consultant position
How much do they pay Consultants?
Really wide range, my guess it starts at 110, but u can get way more.
Also, I heard their 401k sucks. Anybody have the details on that?
What is the 401k contribution? Nothing?
Oh I didn't know Deloitte was that bad too. Yes it's 1.5%, or 25% match up to 6% of your salary. The newer offices usually don't hire at the more junior levels because they're usually still in "client gathering" mode (so they need more senior folks with solid relationships), but it would not hurt you to try. If you interview with us and are too junior for where we are at the moment, we put you in the hopper for "in a couple years" and will reach out when we're ready for your skill set.
