I have.
Started in NY and then moved to SF. NY was more work hard and take pride in that you work hard. SF has been work hard, but don’t talk about the fact that you work hard, that’s shameful, this should all be easy.
I prefer NY work culture wise, but SF not work wise.
If you wanna pay $2,000 a month to live in a dump with 5 roommates come to SF
SF is more laidback where as NYC is very intense. California clients are better and easy going. In NYC it’s very very intense.
SF office is great! I think we’re all pretty chill and nice. Casual dress is reeeally casual. People work hard during busy season but yeah, we aren’t proud of it. We’d rather go out and have lives. Nobody stays late just because someone else is - if you’re done with all your work and you pulled your weight for the day, just go home. During busy season most people do a mini break like go to the gym or meet friends for happy hour, before coming back to work. I don’t know if those are normal or just specific to SF, but those are little reasons I like the SF office
PwC2, dump is no different in NYC, top that with a nasty northern winter. I’m done with it, moving south!
