What’s it like producing at 360i NY?
Saturday night live is getting good again.
This shouldn’t be news to people but it is.

If you’re white like me it’s so important to realize that we were raised in a society where institutionalized racism is normalized, and we were born with privilege. You can’t choose the color of your skin, but you can choose to put ego aside and reflect on why this isn’t happening to me, and be vocal about being anti-racist.

No hat. For interviewing, it’s a subconscious indicator that you feel the need to hide under something, a mark of insecurity. And if it’s a fedora, you need to burn them all. No god damn fedoras people, they don’t have a place in the 21st century.
I wear a hat regularly. Not in front of the client, not when presenting (even internally), and not to an interview. It's too casual.
If someone wore one to an interview I'd either think they were a douche, or they're just trying too damned hard to look the part.
Only fedoras, m’lady.
Stetson interview = YES
Willy Wonka interview = MAYBE
Any other interview = NO
Hats are cool but only wear this if you want to be the CEO.
A cap is fine, don’t listen to the account people, they probably tuck in their shirts.
If you’re good, wear whatever you want. If you’re not good, dress like an account person.
bald impression > bad impression
I wouldn’t even as a creative.
Hats indoors, No. Just... No.
And yes, I'm aware many will disagree, but you'll always look ridiculous even if no-one will ever tell you to your face.
They may think "hmm, when we present to the CMO is this idiot going to wear a cap?" Our industry lets us dress super casually but once in a while someone mistakes that for "anything goes." Show some respect, wear clean, nice-ish clothes to interview and leave your cap at home. You can be cool dude in the cap once hired. (Sure some folks won't care, but it's risk of offending someone vs. no cap. Easy math there.)
SAD1, you definitely sound like a dinosaur for somehow equating my title to knowing anything about how I dress or whether I'm a cool person. Such a cliche but it's OK 😘
OP wouldn't ask about it on here if something on the inside didn't bother them about it so they already know it's not quite right and seek approval in order to feel better about it. I understand and can empathize.
I’d be fine with it. I don’t really care what creatives wear as long as it meets a minimum standard of decency and their work is good. Because honestly there are plenty of well dressed useless people in the building
No! Dafuq?!
@CW2 - would you recommend a combover in that situation?
OP, so you're wearing a hat with a visor?? Would you interview with sunglasses on indoors?
AD1 you sound like a dinosaur. Go change out of your house shoes and sitting garments, and kick rocks.
SCW2 - what if you’re good but riddled with self doubt?
Or bad, but not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good?
SAD1, love the flirting 😂😜
