Bain & Company Hi all, I am interested in making the move to the Middle East, however starting from august/September. What do you think are the prospects for the future in the region? Do you envisage a hiring freeze or are companies still going strong? Thanks!McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Kearney Bain & Company

I think it all depends on what you're looking for. Would you be moving for money? More responsibility? If so, are they worth it?
Or just do the tried and tested method of telling the current job that you've got an offer and see what they can do.
I think you can still ask them for an offer and turn it down. Or vice versa, still leave. Its a super common practice.
Totally get the feeling though! Just gotta value yourself and make sure they value you too!!
Is it somewhere you would want to work without the allure of title and a modest salary bump? Those will come with time - whether at your current agency or another that’s equally good. Does the new place excite you? Do you like their work? What would it set you up for in 2/5/10 years?
I turned down 3 more lucrative and senior offers over the past year, then got one from an agency I’ve always wanted to work at, leading one of the biggest regional accounts in the market. If I’d jumped at the others I would have been doing the same work for a little bit more money, and inevitably got bored.
I caveat all of this with: the reason we go to work is to get paid, so get what you’re worth, but at this stage of your career (assuming your title is up to date), sometimes it’s more important to build your skill set, work on work that excites you, and build your CV.
I also agree with the aforementioned suggestions - you can speak to them and ask if they can match it - but only if you’re ready to leave if they don’t.
No worries! Good luck with it all
Stay where you are. Might be hard to get back to where you are.
How long have you been at your current role?
Spanning 2 different agencies, I’ve had my current title for almost 3 years. Moved jobs about in the middle of that time for a better opportunity where I’m currently at and decent pay bump, but without a title promo
