Got an interview request from Amazon for Sr. Digital Marketing Manager. I have been interviewed by and worked for multiple big names like Mcafee, Meta, Microsoft but never by Amazon. I’m wondering how’s their hiring process, what kind of questions and tasks are waiting for me, how many steps are there etc.
Thank you in advance, everyone!

Confused about the bval m&a role - what do you mean in the RE space? Typically RE valuation work is similar to appraisal (which i’ve always been told to stay away from) work. Is this bval work for m&a purposes exclusive to RE companies?
Happy to chat further to learn more about both roles. I think that could help better understand my interpretations too. I was making a similar decision to you. Feel free to DM
I agree with Consultant above. With the bval and m&a experience you’ll be able to work 9-5 in a nice office that serves free lunches of Cornish Game Hen. Acquisitions at the REIT would have you traveling a lot and your most attractive exit op would be taking the lead (acquisitions) dog role at a middle market investor/developer.
What type of acquisitions? Very loose term as the actual responsibilities of an acquisitions team vary dramatically based on asset class and debt vs equity. Need to focus on what the actual day to day responsibilities of the job are and which you think will offer more marketable skills in the long run. I worked acquisitions at a REIT for 6 months and hated it. All the guys were just phone jockeys no real professional development involved. May be different with your offer but need to dig in to what you’re actually doing. I transferred internally to transactions and due Diligence and loved it. Did that a year and just exited to a hedge fund working less hours for way more money
Yeah I’m my experience acquisitions is not the best place to grow. Not much you’ll learn or have great marketable skills coming out of the role. It is very business development and sales focused. The REIT I was at it was a sweat shop for the analysts. Just underwriting high level all day while higher ups just phone jockey all day. Not a great place for a foundation in real estate in my opinion. Learned more in a month of transactions work than 6 months in acquisitions.
