JPMorgan Chase Did a first round interview for a senior level position at JP Morgan.. hiring manager said I should receive a call back within a couple of weeks.. been over a month.. no intimation post that.. the HR in charge of hiring or scheduling haven’t replied to my emails on what comes next and haven’t scheduled anything. So should I consider this as a dead end ? Does this generally happen at JP? Feels weird that I have been ghosted after what I felt was a very good interview.. Was a good fit too.JPMorgan Chase

Call and asked! Waived no, but I have received statement credits and points (often something like half the value of annual fee)
Oh sweet summer child
Ask to be transferred to the retentions department. Once your transferred, explain that you don’t think the annual fee is worth the perks (especially relative to other lower fee cards) and ask something to the effect of are there any incentives available that may offset the annual fee and make it easier to justify holding the card for another year.
Yes but not one that large. They won’t waive it
Yes. Not for that specific card. Worth calling in and asking tho - mention you'll likely have to cancel if it's not waived
They’ll never waive for year 1 unless it’s part of the signup promotion. However, you can usually get some sort of credit or points for years 2 and beyond. I just got a $200 credit or 20k points for calling and asking on my Amex platinum. I took the points. You have to call and threaten to cancel / say you don’t think the fee is worth it
Just curious, how do there conversations go? Do you just say “I don’t want to pay this”??
