Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

Hi Everyone !!!
This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.
I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?
Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

I’ve done this when I interviewed and worked for Apple. Standard.
Yeah same with MAL when they interviewed me, they had me signed an NDA.
I've done it a few times for freelance gigs so they can show me the project I'd be working on
This is pretty normal as they plan to discuss specific business details with you during the interview. This is especially normal if they're launching a new product or working on Govt/ Defense accounts. Also, a lot of pitches are confidential so that's another factor where NDAs are the norm
This is pretty weird. They could be weird. That said, it is just an interview. I don't think it's huge deal but it is definitely odd. Sometimes they do that if a company is going through a merger or acquisiton that isn't yet finalized, and you're coming in during that
It’s not weird for senior-level roles. I’m not actively looking but have been approached about three dept head roles by external search firms this year, and all three required me to sign an NDA before scheduling a conversation.
At senior levels, you often learn sensitive information about the company, team, future plans, etc. during the interview process, so they’re just protecting themselves. Additionally, as a candidate you want to know what you’re signing up for, so that level of confidentiality helps the candidate, also. In my last interview, I learned that the agency was about to restructure the team I’d be leading and some of the current team members would lose their jobs. NDAs protect info like that from getting out prematurely.
An NDA is fine (as long as it’s not out of the ordinary), it just means you can’t disclose confidential information. However if there’s anything extra in there like a non compete, then 🚩🚩🚩
So one time I got a non compete stuck in an NDA which would have gone into effect if I got the project. Possibly it wouldn’t have stood up but I made them remove that clause. It was crazy as I didn’t even know who the client would be until I signed.
