My two cents: 1.5 YOE is a tough sell for a PM role in tech. I would recommend you start connecting with PMs at Microsoft on LinkedIn and apply to roles on their team. You’ll need to do some politicking to get in.
Experience: I got into a FAANG PM role with 2.5 YOE, but I’m the youngest in my org. I networked a lot to get it.
C1, did you have a implementation or strategy background? Similar yoe and looking to make a similar jump—would love to learn from your experience
That’s not enough to be a PM at Microsoft, even though it’s only level 59-60. You satisfied minimum req but they probably have much more qualified candidates for that. Tough sell.
Yeah I know:( it’s kinda unfair. Going thru campus recruitment is much more advantageous. Once you get to you ft job, you’re not competing against other new grads, you’re competing against many other experienced candidates.
What is the salary of level 59-60 PM?
