HCOL (Boston) CPA with six years of big 4 experience and 1.5 years industry as accounting manager. Leaving a smaller private equity firm for a considerably larger one and they are asking for my expectations. I am not even sure what true market rate is so not sure where to start. Currently around 130k base with 30% in bonus - about ~180k all in. I am slated to receive a salary adjustment next week at current firm to bring me to market but need to respond to new company ASAP. Non-traditional student and new to public though I have work experience at the para and professional level.
