Healthcare professional and soon to be MBA graduate looking to transition to MC. What level of post should I be aiming for with the big 4?

Also been told there is no point in applying for MBB if degrees are Russell group, but not from top unis - is this correct?

Definitely apply to MBB, your experience matters. No harm in applying is there?

like

We’re doing a lot of expert hiring. I wouldn’t count yourself out. I’m not from a Russel group either and joined as a healthcare Ops expert

like

You can definitely apply to MBB as a generalist too. I’d encourage it to keep your options open! There are lots of healthcare professionals with degrees from Russell group but “not top” unis at MBB.

like

I'd try your luck with both, in terms of grade I would suggest Manager, any higher than that and it would depend on your experience and what you may bring to the table eg contacts with NHS trusts, CCGs etc. Happy to have a look at a CV/ refer if Deloitte is something you're considering

like

Definitely apply! I’d say Russell group uni is probably not the best proxy for excellence.. sure you have some top unis there e.g. Oxbridge, UCL, LSE, Imperial, Warwick etc but you also have the likes of liverpool, Sheffield, Cardiff who are not as strong as some non Russell group unis such as St Andrew’s, Bath, Loughborough and Lancaster.

Yeah it’s a top uni in my opinion but I just think it’s not a typical school that MBB hires from… definitely better than some Russell group unis for sure

Consider ClearView. We are healthcare focused and pay better than big 4 at all levels

Come to PA! Happy to refer - I’m in healthcare at PA and we’re hiring :)
