Depends on the week. NYC specific - but Lately it’s been a nightmare with subway issues, dealing with alternate side parking, heat waves, and trying to make it on time.
Then getting stuck at the office until ungodly hours because can’t risk missing the late EOD call or a submission before leaving the office.
It’s not so bad if you’re not overworked and understaffed, but when that’s the case the no-commute aspect of WFH is the only reprieve
On site fitness center is the only motivation I have to RTO. 95% of my team works in other offices, so I only see them via Zoom whether I’m home or in the office. Now to get people to respect the one hour I take out of my 12 hour day to stay mentally and physically healthy!
I prefer being in the office because I find it easier to remain focused and motivated, but the open plan set up and, well, some of the people make it a tough gig on some days.

A hybrid set up where everyone comes on different days for no reason doesn’t help, if you have a day with the right teams and all hands meetings then I find it helps
I prefer the “old school” floor plans with low ceilings and high cubicle walls. At least in that environment you have a little bit of privacy and your conversations don’t echo through the entire floor! These “modern, open floor plans” where everything is made out of glass does not help with focused, heads down work. I maybe get 2-3 hours where I can focus, then 9:30 rolls around and it’s just a noise fest.
It's a nightmare 😱 sitting behind random people, having to wipe things down for the first 5-10 minutes and nothing ever works. Needless to say, with an hour and 30 commute, plus 30 minutes to set up, they have missed out on 2 hours of productivity AND morale. The good thing is it's only 3 times a week!
we do a 3 days in every two weeks format- it's okay- my team doesn't mind it too much- the problem is when some departments get to go full time work from home for various reasons and others are denied it when it does NOT have any bearing on customers or how the job is done- we have offices all over and half the time you're not even in the same office as your team and we don't see customers in office anyway
