Hello all
Looking for advice
two weeks ago I did an interview that I passed,
the job situation was not very well defined at that time (like benefits, work from home etc.) the HR asked what salary I was expected. I gave a value and they seemed happy with that
now that some aspects are defined I see that the salary asked is a bit low and I`d like to ask more.
do you think I can do that? any suggestion on how to negotiate that?
the application is going on, so they didn`t reject me

I would suggest letting the process play out a little more before following up with “can we discuss pay” as your next touch base with them. You can always revisit the discussion as they get closer to making a formal offer. Just be prepared to explain why you are amending your ask.

Wait when an offer is given. At that time, you know that they want you. Then negotiate.

If they have shown interest in giving you the job and you not happy with the salary, inform them of your last benefits what you like to have in order to live and not have to work 2 jobs. Show your qualifications. If this is your field and you like the position I would take it. But, if you sre going to br unhappy in the pay, then look for something else.

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most, how pissed would you be if you were a supervisor and you had a new direct report on your team with a higher salary than you? The years of experience are the same, but you have 3 designations (they have 0), you have 3 licenses (they have just 2), they have little to no experience with technical complex claims (you have hundreds), and you have 3 years in management (they have 0).

I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. This was 1 week ago and I have still not received any call. Has anyone else faced the same issue? And if yes, should I even expect a call fro HR?

I’m 3 months into a new job where I work for a global tech company, and I want to ask for a pay review from my manager at the 6 month mark when I pass probation.
I know I’m going above and beyond my responsibilities as I’m not just managing projects, but I’ve also set up a global PMO governance board and have identified gaps within other teams where I’m assisting with the solution.

Is it acceptable for me to be asking this from my manager, and if so how do I raise this?

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

I’ve been working a Boston based commercial lender for about 9 months as a credit analyst since leaving my relationship manager/portfolio manager role in agricultural lending. I’ve been presented with a portfolio analyst role they have created for me (was told not to apply for a PM role) . The offer is for $100k, is this reasonable? I feel like I have leverage due to underwriting 48% of the volume we have booked by myself and my team is 7 other analysts.
