It totally depends on the team. The firm does not give much guidance on how to conduct interviews. In general you’ll get one person who interviews for fit, another one who asks questions about your experience. And then another one who allows you to ask questions you have about the role. As long as you talk about experience that you have that is directly related to the role you will be fine
Former BAH boomerang who interviewed for two lead associate positions at the same time this summer. Three hours on Zoom, no breaks, 45mn with one leader, 45mn with his team, 45mn with two leaders, 45mn with their team. I was exhausted and my jaw hurt by the end, but the conversations were friendly and an equal focus on experience and fit.
Booz has a very low threshold in interviews, extremely unstructured. Most work here is butts in seats so it makes sense.
Unfortunately true… but I’ve seen some superstars during my time there! Cool opportunities are a bit difficult to find, just like any big consulting/system integration firms.
Shocked to hear how some others hear were put through the ringer. Three years ago when I was interviewing for a BI role at booz I just did one call with an Associate that was super laid back. I took the call laying in bed in my boxers after I came home from 3 rounds of interviews at Deloitte in person the same morning. The questions were mostly to make sure I knew what tableau was and experiences working with it. I was expecting to hear about next rounds, but the next call I got from the company was about an offer, which I took. Moved companies since but had a shockingly relaxed interview process.
Came in this way last year. Hmu
So Booz doesn't do case studies in their interviews?
Same here. Undergrad hire, no case interviews
