Hi everyone!!! Last year I put together a list of classrooms to exchange valentines with! We mailed 1 valentine to each class and included a picture if we could, and a few things about where we live and things we do!
I currently have 13 classes signed up! The more the merrier!!
We have classes CA, WI, PA, KS, TX, RI, MI, Canada, New Zealand.
I have a form to fill out if you are interested! I will email everyone the list probably at the end of the week if not sooner!

I think this is a hard question to answer. 5th grade is at the hard point where they aren't little and they aren't middle school. I think you need to figure out how to address that first. My co-teacher treats them like 6th graders while I focus more on last year in elementary.
Depending how much you do for interactive activities, I use a lot of cardstock for making games, task cards and puzzles. My classroom also goes through a lot of dry erase markers!! I usually do table bins for shared supplies, but also like to make sure I have an individual bin for each student to store books and folders. You will figure out what you like as you go through the first year!
