Hello fishes, anyone here preparing for GMAT or GRE while working full time? How's market for MBA at this time? Please share your thoughts!

I’m located in WA and have been working as a certified medical assistant and front office specialist for the same organization and have 10-11 years experience. I graduated with my BS in Healthcare Management last September and I’m currently fast tracking my MBA in Healthcare Management. I have been applying for leadership roles over the last year and haven’t made any headway. I’m looking for some advice on actually moving into a role utilizing my degree.I currently make $25.80, with a raise soon

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

I start my journey of being more technical today. I am giving myself 2 yrs. I started a role doing IT controls, Identity and Access Management work. I have prior experience in UAT, business process controls (A-123). I am planning on passing the Security plus and CISSP certs within 2 yrs. Have a TS clearance. Which industries are T15 B-schools best suited for? For example IB, VC, PE, Tech, consulting, startups etc… Curious since I’m still in the part of trying to figure out if I just want to stay in consulting after MBA or what else is out there post MBA if I end up going to a specific B-school that’s known to land new grads in certain industries.

Many in my MBA program are hyper grade focused. Do grades matter that much post MBA for future job opps at all? My approach has been to balance academics with relationship building and practicing exec presence and for me, pivoting to a new industry

Should I transition to a tech sales job? Thoughts on risk vs reward? I am 34 yo, married with a baby incoming. I work at Google Cloud in solutions engineering (I help develop quantitative business cases with sales teams for customers). My cash base + bonus is $220k (going to ignore equity). I have an MBA from the University of Chicago, not that it matters much in sales. I have always been in a consulting role but I think I can make more in sales. I have a competitive personality and I am bored.

I have been in Risk Advisory for about 5 years but I have been feeling extremely bored with the work and I am currently contemplating my next career move. What are realistic career opportunities for me excluding technical accounting, internal audit and compliance? Would obtaining an MBA help my career prospects?

I currently have a Bachelor's in Computer Science but want to be Cloud Security Engineer. I'm debating whether to go for second bachelors at WGU in Cybersecurity while self studying Cloud certifications, or doing the Cloud Computing while self studying Cybersecurity certifications. Or just go Masters with IT concentration.

3 weeks until the GMAT....should I do TTP (advanced)? Have 3-4 hours / day to study. Currently at 46Q.

How long is too long to take off from GMAT? Spent~8 months on it plus working while living alone and think it’s started to take its toll (panic attacks, etc.). Need to get up ~30 points or so and thinking of getting healthy/deferring application to next year.

Is anyone else returning to fully in person learning? We have been hybrid/synchronous since September, which has been very hard and not very effective. They want us to have all Kindergarten students come back in March. I want to stop live teaching over google meet all day while also teaching my students in person at the same time, but there is not enough space in my classroom for safe distancing, not enough space for movement, and sitting at a desk all day is not appropriate for K kids!

I am an Engg. (2004-2008) then went for MBA from UPES, Dehradun in Oil and Gas (2012-2014 : Regrettable decision). No connection though with O&G industry. Approx 10 years of work exp. Thinking of pursuing ISB MBA for a career jump. Present CTC 12.75. Any suggestions on which course shall I go for or any other alternatives. I can go for regular MBA too. (My age is 36, if it helps).
