why do hiring managers ask if you are currently interviewing anywhere else? why does it matter?

Just finished first month in a new senior analyst VC role. Came from consulting with 2 YOE. Feeling incredibly overwhelmed and wondering how long it has taken other folks to get fully up to speed? Any advice or tips? Fund is relatively small/young and there aren’t a lot of training opps, plus it feels like everyone else on the team has it all figured out (so asking questions can be intimidating).

My husband wants to break into tech either as a SWE or product person because he sees how much I enjoy it and he's been trying to learn stuff. It's very overwhelming though as he's coming from a chemistry / pharma project management role. Any tips?

I denied them as it looks like fake.

Applying online to a company where there are legit 10 openings that I am qualified for and interested in. I have a referral at the company as well

1) do I apply to all 10 jobs, or does that look bad? I would optimize resume for each of the jobs

2) do I use my referral for all 10? Don’t want to flood his inbox or look like I am just mass applying, or diluting his opinion so to speak.

I am an Engg. (2004-2008) then went for MBA from UPES, Dehradun in Oil and Gas (2012-2014 : Regrettable decision). No connection though with O&G industry. Approx 10 years of work exp. Thinking of pursuing ISB MBA for a career jump. Present CTC 12.75. Any suggestions on which course shall I go for or any other alternatives. I can go for regular MBA too.
