Want to do info interview w/colleague from prior group about her previous role (diff than current) in another firm, and possibly ask her to refer me to others. We're close but is it inappropriate?
Hey Mates I'm working in pretty good fintech firm. I'm in my 30s with 2 kids and they are calling everyone to office by January I want remote job and would never want to live in any city again. Wondering which route to opt? 1. Start investing in open source and build a profile, find freelance jobs on upwork/Fiverr Or 2. Start giving interviews in remote jobs. FYI I'm terrible at interviews and spoken communications. Please provide your inputs. I want to work remote with good pay.
Hi what happens when someone clears loop but not aligned with current role? Will HR continue to search role for you? Also, for how long loop results are valid? Amazon

Breaking into Consulting post-MBA, have opportunity to join as Senior consultant either in AI strategy or in Payments Strategy (up to me). Finding it tricky to decide on my own. What are the exit opportunities like? Any other suggestions?
I know we all love the work from home (or do we?) but does anyone actually miss traveling for their consulting engagements and all the fun that goes along with it? The late nights at the office then the bar and random hookups and excitement and all that? Sure it’s a grind but I think I actually miss it too. Maybe I just miss seeing people at work or seeing people at all. I wonder if we’ll ever get back to that.
What do y’all look for when hiring entry level producers? Whats the best way to get a foot in the door? Is it possible w/o producer internships but other work xp? Asking for a friend
How has your agency preserved company culture while the office has been closed and all employees are WFH?
Once the dust settles post COVID what do you think the hybrid model will look like for most companies with number of days in office vs remote each week?
I’m sore. BF and I WFH all last week and let’s just say coffee breaks got on the wild side. Let’s see what this week holds..
What’s the ideal mix of workplace flexibility and discipline? Looking to take my team to the next level, and while we want to preserve remote work and “as-long-as-it-gets-done”, we want accountability
Is this an accurate distinction? High performer: Exceeds expectations for role and level. Operating above level. Mid/average performer: meets expectations. Gets the job done but nothing above and beyond. Low performer: does not meet expectations for role and level.
Looking for freelance Mid/Sr AD. My GCD asking me to throw a few books on their desk by Tues. Gig will be 2-3 months, remote. PM a book if you’re interested.
Base office in NYC, but been living in Texas for the past couple of months and might stay here for the next few months (since wfh is the default in my firm now) - can I get away from paying NY income taxes?

What do you think will be the impact of this rapid hiring for MBB? MBB is hiring so rapidly. When it cools down, do you think MBB will realize they over hired? Will it become harder for associates (post MBA) to get promoted? Will it become more competitive for Associates to get staffed on projects they want to be on? Will there just be too many consultants at the Firm and a mass layoff? McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Boston Consulting Group
How do you deal with work-related thoughts on weekends? Used to be able to shut work off at night and Friday afternoon. Lately I’ve been dreaming about detailed stuff from current project.
Working in Europe temporarily. Have an option to do Executive MBA, it’s around 70-90k Euros for an year. Another option I have is doing part time PhD in Management. It’s around 35-40k Euros for 4 years. Any thoughts on which one would be more useful? Currently work in a T2 in their digital practice. New SM at a firm and asked to lead a difficult project with abrasive client that 6+ SMs before me have cycled through and all been rolled off. I don’t have much of a choice being new to the firm… or do I? My thought was to sell my own role elsewhere (have lots of relationships) but the freight train has left the station & being on boarded to the challenging environment instead. Tips aside from - just do it & prove them all wrong? Can’t phone it in because I’m new. Any advice is welcomed
As a 20+ year lawyer with no big law experience (smaller and mid size firms plus government and in house experience), would a BigLaw firm even consider me? Perhaps an of counsel position? Even a senior associate?
EY-P TSE vs ACN Management Consulting - which one would you prefer in terms of growth opportunity and interesting work? Senior Associate/Consultant level. No MBA.

We had new neighbors move in across the street a few months ago. A couple with a child of about 7 years old who clearly has a cognitive disability of some sort (I suspect autism). I’m becoming concerned about him. He seems to spend a good amount of time alone outdoors. He often flags down passers by to chat. I thought perhaps his parents kept an eye on him through the window, but today he was hanging on a neighbor’s front stoop for a good half hour. I went over to talk to him and see if (con’t)

Anyone given the Googlyness and Leadership interview? What kind of questions are asked?
Anyone hiring entry level jobs? I have been on the job hunt and unfortunately not getting much success! If there are any open positions, I would love to talk and pass on my resume and portfolio. Thank you so much!
I have an awesome opportunity to apply for a promotion that would give me additional responsibilities but a faster track to leadership. I am also 10 weeks pregnant with my first confirmation appt next week. I want to go for it but feel bad about applying when I would go on mat leave in about 6-7 months, pending everything is on track with my first appt. Wanting advice on whether to apply or not and whether to disclose the pregnancy?
