McKinsey & Company I received an offer from McKinsey & Company in 2021 and I’ll be starting later this year after graduation. Obviously because of the pandemic, inflation is slowly trending upwards. Has anyone asked for a base salary increase before even starting the job? Any advice on how to approach this?

Completely different businesses - what groups are they in? AWS has more growth and opportunity to pivot to main Amazon = more opportunity imo. Might learn more as a data engineer. Could also use the Meta offer to get more money with AWS
Very different trajectories. I wouldn’t care too much about the difference in money. Is he more interested in a technical career path? Or not?
BA can be useful to pivot to product management. Then again, data experience is very useful as well.

Question is— what does he enjoy? What are his absolute strengths? (The roles need 2 diff skillsets with diff long term trajectories).
Full time conversion & career opps dont matter as much. If you’re absolutely good at what you do, doors will open in the future.
