I have 6.5 Yoe , got 2 offers, one from tesco for 32lpa base as lead data scientist and another from google for base 40 and rest RSUs etc for AI customer engineer role. I currently work as a data scientist. Which option is better?
Never worked as a customer engineer before, not sure if it is less of tech and more of sales.

On the spectrum of functional (1) to technical (10), where would you put Product Manager and/or Owner?
Is it similar to old school functional BA role (back in the SDLC days before agile took hold)?
...or does this vary heavily by company?

Looking for some advice on a couple of offers I have.

The first offer is for an Account Executive position at a smaller company with a base of $50k and another $20k in OTE.

The second offer is for a BDR position at a larger and faster growing company with a base of $60k and another $20k in OTE. Also some stock options but they aren’t public yet.

I have 2 YOE as a BDR and think I could succeed in either position. Both have hybrid work set ups. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated! Thanks.

Hey everyone! What decent reason can I give for leaving sooner than notice period? I have 2 months NP. Would love to get out of here in a month. My boss let a teammate go in 2 weeks with same NP who said that he had COVID and need a long break from work. He was actually switching job while he got COVID. Same story won't work for me. What do you do if your manager hates you but you feel you are doing a good job?

It's sad to see people with 2-3 years of experience getting paid more than you when u have double the experience. 😄 Best part is they are still complaining of getting less. Well I guess you should never settle. New gen is giving a hard time to the experienced folks. I think this is the high time to upgrade your skills. Come out of your comfort zone and start looking for new opportunities. I think this is the best time to switch if u haven't already in quite some time.
