Hello, I’m a video editor in Los Angeles with 15 years of experience. Mainly working out of post houses or direct with agencies and brands. I mainly do national broadcast commercial, web and branded content. Recent additions to our family have us thinking about relocation. My question to the bowl is…is it really possible to be a successful video editor outside of NYC or LA? I know Chicago and Atlanta to a lesser degree too but just curious about people’s thoughts on this. Thanks!

I work with great people. Really can’t say anything bad about my firm in general either. But…I still dislike the entire premise of law firm life, the billable hour, etc.. I've been job hunting for a while now, and have yet to secure anything. I've made it through to the writing test a few times but haven't succeeded. I know I have the skill, but I struggle to even get an interview at most places. Any tips on secondary color grading? Premier pro the slider and dropper they have isn’t quite precise so i often am having to taken on more colors and be limited than use only a small piece of skin. Any advice would be amazing.
