I currently work contract and I don't like it. I've been doing it for about 3 months and I've been told it takes 6 months to a year to build a case load that gives the same income stability as salaried positions. I feel I have to work much harder for less money right now, even though I'm making more per session than when I was salaried because I'm still building a caseload.
If you can get health benefits insurance reasonably, contract does pay more by client , but if you need employer sponsored healthcare, find companion es that offer benefits to FT Employees
