Hello, I’m currently trying to break into consulting companies such as BCG, EY, Mckinsey, etc. I'm graduating from my masters in June at Lund University so I want to look for a job in advance, preferably in Copenhagen.

Would anyone be willing to talk about their experience of getting into consulting? I have internships and some professional experience to apply but I don't think it's enough for experienced roles. Even if it’s just 15 of your time I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

I don’t really know what to do as a career or anything anymore. I’ve been trying to find part time work for the time being. I feel like I have 0 skills when I try to look for work. I currently do freelance art. I enjoy it, but I don’t make enough yet. I previously did IT work— but became burnt out and have been out of the field for ~3 years. I am trying to learn programming, but for myself—not job ready.

I'm not hung up on PE/buy side exits, not closed off but nbd. Would be just as happy to stay and make MD (or exit into corp dev if I want an easier life when I'm older)

My dilemma:

I'm at a LMM investment bank. Can get crazy sometimes, but otherwise chill. Typically done around 7-9 pm, had maybe three 1 am nights. Haven't worked a weekend in over a month. Fridays almost always done at 5 pm.

Have an offer at a reputable MM bank but probably pretty sweaty. Worth the move?

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account. Anyone here moved from strategy to account?
