Check with your doctor but general advice is that things you’re used to doing already should be fine … would avoid some things though like weight lifting…
Would definitely encourage weight lifting, actually
They used to not recommend it, but have since found there's no problem with doing it
I took my workouts light the first half of my pregnancy and got really bad back pain. When I picked up my more regular workouts, including both cardio and weightlifting, again, 80% of the back pain vanished
It helps to be a strong momma for bearing children
They said 140 max heart rate
Then listen to that, I would say 🤷♀️ unless not going higher is going to severely impact your mental health, I don’t think it’s worth anything harming your pregnancy. It’s a defined period of time where you have to prioritize different parts of your health, once over you can go back to your preferred workouts
I’d try hiit classes but with a HR monitor, take breaks when your HR goes above what your doctor recommends. I was able to modify f45 classes

My doctor said I could keep doing things I did pre-pregnancy because my body was used to it. Can you ask a different doctor?
I will this next week!
Honestly, I just gave myself grace and took it day by day. I did light cardio and exercises that prep the body for natural birth, take it easy on yourself during the first trimester.
28 hours of labor plus episiotomy that just healed (two months post partum now!). Takeaway is really focus on breathing techniques, I thought this would just come natural but it was difficult. Definitely get a t tens machine, it helped with my contractions. When are you ladies due? Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy and smooth labor!
Background info: This is an IVF pregnancy and the guidance is from the fertility clinic. I am getting transferred to OB this coming week

This was my situation too! And I got the clear to workout from my regular OB once I graduated. (Congratulations, by the way!)
I found a few articles online (e.g. Healthline.com) that say the 140 BPM guidance is out of date because people’s health will vary. The guidance I got was to keep doing what I was doing as long as there’s no major risk of falling. Definitely talk to your new OB about it. If you were doing it before you can probably keep doing it until you can’t anymore.
