Hello. My family in India are giving me a bit of money. Is it better to exchange the 2 lakh to USD there or in the US? I’m hearing there will be a lot of charges to exchange there but am not familiar. TIA

Easiest is to swipe an Indian card in the US instead of transferring anything. Find an Indian bank (chase equivalent) that gives you a good exchange rates on international swipes and use the cash that way

helpful

Make sure that bank does not charge foreign transaction fee.

Currently maxed Roth 401k, Roth IRA, HSA, and ESPP at 23 YO, should I consider an after-tax conversion? I’ve read about back-door Roths but I’m still far below the income limit as an analyst. Definitely looking into early-ish retirement, should I just invest the rest in a regular brokerage account until I reach the income limit? Am I even allowed to do a conversion? Any advice is helpful :)

Hi all, I recently purchased a commercial property at WTC, Noida. As I look to grow my portfolio, I spoke to my consultant to see if I could get better prices. He worked with the sales folks at WTC and said that if multiple buyers come in, he could work out a deal. Wanted to check if anyone is interested? I could potentially get him to set up one-on-ones to help explain the commercial real estate market. Even if this property doesn’t seem interesting, I think an interaction wouldn’t hurt.. contd

I’m looking for assistance on building your own portfolio in my traditional 401K. I’ve been reading that it’s important to choose funds with low expense ratios. Also, that it is recommended to have at least one US stock, international stock , and bond. I am 24yo so ideally, I’d want to allocate 90%-100% to stocks and 0%-10% to the bond. Any other things I should be looking at?

Will Amex restricting guess access for Centurion Lounge actually make any difference?

I can see short term changes but the way Amex has been aggressively marketing Platinum card, we just will have overcrowding of primary card holders 🤷🏻‍♂️

What's next, everyone has to spend min. 50k a year to get Centurion lounge access or pay per visit.

What should be my reasons to accept or not accept the offer from booking?
