Tesla is a terrible place to work. Won’t hesitate to cut workforce if needed, low pay for industry, stock is overvalued, they require you to come to office, long hours, and you have to work for self centered Elon Musk.
I turned down a PM role at Tesla for a SA role in Management Consulting at PwC. Couldn’t be happier with my decision.
Tesla is growing at 50% annually, and have a 300,000 unit backlog and strongest margins in the industry. Recession is the least of Tesla’s concerns.
I couldn't imagine being a PM under Elon. Maybe it's different from the inside, but from the outside it looks to be very little autonomy.
