Here’s the after it’s cooked of the nabe Mille-feuille. I served this with a nice bowl of rice!

The soup base I used to cook this with was dashi with some mirin and soy sauce. Simmered it until the lettuce was tender.

I also used a yuzu dipping sauce to bring it that refreshing pop

Oh wow. This looks so much better than what I thought it would cooked (not that it looked bad). I really want to try making this because it sounds like it would be so yummy! Especially with the weather we have been having here lately.

Yes it’s been really rainy where I live so it was nice to have a hearty bowl of rice with some soup! I also thought I didn’t have enough beef but tbh I feel like I don’t have enough Napa cabbage. When the cabbage wilts, it’s the sweetest vegetable ever

Aww, bummed to see this is a dead bowl. Anyone still around?? Getting ready for our first internal off-site and I haven't seen the rest of my team in person for almost 3 years now. I'm more nervous about the new folks that I have only met via Teams, including my 1st-ever direct report. As it’s been getting colder I’ve been dabbling in soups. This is a brie and mushroom soup paired with balsamic onion & mushroom toast. It was super tasty and really hit the spot. It can also be used in place of cream of mushroom from a can in recipes if you’re looking for a different taste.
