I had to self teach those on the job and never found great resources while learning. So hopefully someone can be more help, but I’m interested in what is out there too!

Second what SBA1 said, it’s tough to find good resources for learning. The best way to learn is on the job, working through the docs to tackle a real problem. The challenge with big data stuff is that you pretty much need to use big data at work to even get exposure to it, because the infrastructure required to run it is so expensive.
If you’re comfortable in Python, you’ll be fine using the python apis for the technologies you’re looking to use, it’s more a matter of getting your hands on an environment to play with.
If you’re willing to spend some money on your own, databricks allows you to spin up resources pretty easily. Just be aware that it can get costly if you’re not conscientious.
Will do, thank you all for your responses. They have been very helpful!!

Yes. Our team is just a small part of the group. We build data pipeline to migrate legacy database and store incoming data to Hadoop data lake.
If you’re willing to pay or maybe your company can pay, the Data Engineering nanodegree from Udacity is sooo good. Very thorough and comprehensive, and you get to build and automate complete end to end pipelines. It’s designed for those already pretty familiar with SQL and Python.
Will take a look at that. Thank you for the suggestion
You can get free understanding of these concepts on “itversity” channel in YouTube.
They also have a lab with data to play around
Itversitylabs.com
They charge you around $40 for 6 months, that would be good start have hands on environment
Will check it out also
